Resources

The following list of resources are those I use or have used in my online business or on my client’s websites. For full disclosure, I have to let you know that some of them are affiliate links and as such may earn me a small commission if you decide to buy through my link. However, I promise I only recommend tools I’ve used myself and would never recommend anything just to make a quick few pounds if I didn’t believe in it. If you don’t wish for me to be recompensed, simply do a Google search for the product yourself, that’s 100% A-OK with me 🙂

Domains & Hosting

  • LCN (U.K. – excellent, knowledgeable customer service, intuitive navigation)
  • Bluehost (U.S. – excellent online chat facility, quality & reliable hosting, automated WordPress updates)

WordPress Themes

  • Elegant Themes (87 themes for the price of one, and what I’m using on this site)

Email Autoresponders

  • MailChimp (free to start but you have to pay if you want automated email sequences)
  • GetResponse (the one I use primarily – easy to use and nice-looking interface)
  • Benchmark Email (fast and easy to use, great-looking emails, includes automated email sequence capability even with the free option for up to 2000 subscribers – I use this service for my book review team emails and they have commented how great they look)

E-Commerce WordPress Plugins

  • WooCommerce (the most popular plug & play plugin to sell products from your page but beware of add-on fees)
  • WP-eStore (sell anything at all from your website, from digital downloads to membership fees to physical products)
  • WordPress Download Manager (free plugin to control free or paid downloads from your site, get the free Pro upgrade to allow payments)
